ESI Applicability

Please let me know as to whether ESI is applicable in Daman and Diu.

AREAS COVERED

The ESI Scheme is being implemented center-wise by stages. The Scheme has already been implemented in different areas in the following States/Union Territories

STATES

All the States except Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram.

UNION TERRITORIES

Delhi, Chandigarh, Pondicherry, Daman and Diu

Dear prakashsir,

i have query regrds esic, i have manuf. plant in Mahad e.g. in Raigad district which does not come under ESIC act. but i have corporate office in Mumbai wherein i have more than 20 employees.

Do my corporatte office comes under ESIC, if yes then do i have to registered it.

dear prakash u said u have corporate office in mumbai, is that registered ??? if so then u have to pay the esi for both the staff working in corporate office as well as the manufacturing plant, do check with the local esi inspector, esi may vary from state to state
