Eligibility for gratuity

I was worked in a PSU, Heavy Engineering Corporation Limited, Ranchi  for the following period :

1 From 15.06.2006 to 26.06.2008 on Contract basis.

2. From 27.06.2008 to 28.02.2013  on Permanent basis.

Kindly advise whether I am eligible for gratuity or not.

yes you should be eligible for 7 years gratuity including for your contract period.

If Payment of Grtuity Act applies establishment can not offer inferior benefits.

GO thru the Act and also check if the Act applies to your PSU.

ASAP, Downlaod and Look into Gratuity Rules of the establsihment.
