I wanted to know that , can a central govt PSU employee be assigned duty in Panchayat/ Municipal Elections conducted by State Election Commissions. Generally , duty in parliamentary/ state legislature election is given to central govt PSU employees which is conducted by Election Commission of India.

The appointment of Presiding Officers and Polling Officers is done by the District Election Officer under the powers vested in him under section 26 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

Representation of the People Act, 1951 is applicable to elections to Parliament and State Assemblies, right ? Here the question is of Municipal and Panchayat elections.
