Driving licence renewal

Sir I got a driving licence on 2005 for two wheeler and four wheeler with both eye vision. In 2015 I was last my right eye vision in one work accident. At the same time left vision is normal. Now I need to renewal my driving licence if possible in tamilnadu

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the possibility of renewing a driving licence in Tamil Nadu after losing vision in one eye due to an accident. While the user's licence was issued with full vision, they now have monocular vision. The advice given suggests that a medical certificate detailing the vision status will be required for renewal. The licensing authority will then determine any further requirements based on the medical examination and current laws.

If your licence is due for renewal, apply as per law with your medical certificate qua vision required for driving.

None of the expert is from medical profession to advise you.

Besides this, it is not a legal query for posting and obligation of legal experts on this platform.

You may be required to undergo medical examination even during the renewal of driving licence, hence if this defect is brought out in the medical certificate, the licensing authority may insturct you accordingly to comply with further requirements as per law.
