My mother owns an old building and has consist of 5 shop for let-out with 10x10sq.mt., which she has purchased during 1970.The building is not provided with drainage facility. But the coporation authorities(madurai corporation) lieved drainage tax and annual maintenance fee for the above said building for the past few years. My mother has appeal and made representation several time to the authorities but all gone in vain. Every year she pays property tax promptly, but the tax collector insist on the drainage tax of Rs.10,000/- each for five shops (one time payment) as it got different assessment numberalong with maintenance charges. My mother is helpless and longing for justice and is their remedy by approaching the court.
