Dowry harrasment

the lady lived in trichy ,got married with kolkotta man andwas harrased by her husband in kolkotta. so she returned to tamilnadu,trichy. can she do complaint in trichy police station and will fir be filed in local station?

she has to file a case in kolkatta since its where all this happenned...after filing the case she can ask for transfer of her case to trichy...its courts discretion to allow the request or not..she can even get advice by police officers of the concerned place

Yes. Complaint can be filed either in Trichy or any other place where wife takes shelter thereafter. Even though there may not be physical cruelty to wife in Trichy, Mental cruelty still continues wherever she may take shelter. Complaint under section 498 A of I.P.C. need not necessarily be filed only in Kolkatta where the wife was ill-treated by her husband.  This is what has been observed by the hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the case of  Rupali Devi vs. State of UP (498A Complaints Can Be Filed At A Place Where A Woman Driven Out Of Matrimonial Home Takes Shelter)
