Dowry harassment related questions

Husband and wife are married for less than 2 years. Both are from different districts. Husband sent wife court notice for divorce. Can the wife after Court Notice 1. File DV and dowry harassment 2. Can she send dowry harassment case by post to the place where the husband is staying as there is a threat to her life to go to the place where the husband is staying.

1. Yes, in the court where she's living. 2. Yes. She may lodge complaint u/s 498a, 406 IPC at her place where she's presently residing. Rest is up to Police to act.

Yes to both the queries.  Which is why it is not advisable to send Advocate Letter and better to directly file Petition in Court.
