1. YES.  There are scores of schemes by Banks, BFC's, Post Office, Govt. Bonds etc...., wherein Money is doubled in about less than 10 years.  This is perfectly legal, for all purposes.

Now you have to know ,know your bank ,before investing money ,nowadays every thing is beyond control ,no assurances,if you make one week hunger strike then you cannot eat food of one week at once so invest simply with hope,

There is no illegality in it.

The banks and post offices do assure double the deposit amount after a  specific period of holding the amount in deposit.
