Do we have to pay to get certified copies of any documents?

DO we have to pay anything to get certified copies of any documents pertaining to our case in court, like evidence, judgement, affidavits, etc? Be it family, sessions or magistrate court?

Some lawyers are charging Rs 2000-3000 each time they apply for certified copies from court...is this acceptable?

YES, U HAVE TO PAY AS PER NUMBER OF PAGES OF C/C.

Actual cost of getting the certified copies is just 1 rupee per page.  But to get those certified copies you need your lawyers signature, so that 2000 or 3000 rupees is the charge of lawyer, not the courts actual fee.

Certified copies can also be gotten directly without the interfernce of your advocate, but you should provide identity proof to the copying section head, and they will give you any number of copies what you want by just charging xerox fees X number of copies.

Even corruption is rampant in copying section, dont hesitate to cough out 100 bucks or so to get copies early.
