Discharge in summons cases?

In summon cases, there is no need to frame charges. The court only frames a notice to provide information to the accused about the accusations against him. Since, no charge is framed there is no question of discharge. There can only be withdrawal , conviction and acquittal. 

In summons case, the court does not frame charge but a notice only is framed. In such a case you can move High Court to quash the FIR.
