Delay in physical possession of property

Banks are selling the property with symbolic possession and unable to give physical possession for years.

I have paid full money for the property under Bank auction in 2020 and still did not get physical possession of property till date.

It is under dispute in DRT.

I have paid both property price and the registration cost but stuck for more than 3 years.

Please advice

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a significant delay in receiving physical possession of a property purchased through a bank auction in 2020. Despite paying the full amount and registration costs, the buyer is still awaiting possession due to ongoing disputes at the DRT. Advice suggests that while the bank cannot resolve this during litigation, the buyer can either wait for the case disposal or request the bank to cancel the sale and refund the payment. Checking the case status online via the e-DRT portal is also recommended.

You cannot do anything now when the bank also cannot do anything about it during the pendency of a litigation in this regard before DRT.

You should not have went for the property when you clearly knew that the bank is not having physical possession.

The delay caused cannot be avoided, you may either wait for the disposal or ask the bank to cancel the sale and return the money paid.

The case status can be viewed by entering individual case no./ diary no. and also, by free text search by party name. The user needs to visit the e-DRT portal (Home | DRT) and click on the case detail tab available on the Home Page of the website.
