Defreezing bank account

Do police have authority to defreeze bank account before completing investigation?

Quick Summary
Police can defreeze a bank account before completing an investigation, but it depends on the specific circumstances and their discretion. They may issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) if they deem it appropriate. Ultimately, the freeze can only be lifted upon the police's instructions, as even bank officials cannot unfreeze it independently. Visiting the concerned police station is recommended to resolve the matter and get your account unfrozen.

The freeze can be lifted only at the instructions of police. Even the bank officials will not be able to unfreeze the  bank account, at their own. It is in your best interest visit the concerned police station and get the things sorted out so as to unfreeze the  bank account.
