defamation , denial of marriage at time of ceremony

Dear All

if at the time of marriage ceremony , any of party of deny for marriage with out any  reasonabel cause or the ground of divorce as defined in various marriage acts.

if any of  party do it deleberety to insult other party, whether such case will come under defamation U/S 507 IPC?

If no reasons are available to insult in the public view then definitely it is an offence and the accused are liable to be prosecuted under defamation.

Yes. you can file defamation suit if deney marriage ceremony without reason. But burden of proof will be on Petitioner.
