Death certificate of grandmother

My Grandmother had a death in 2012. The problem is, her name in ration card is different than what is registerd in circle register. so  how can i get death certificate of a name which is in RC book. I want to delete my grandmothers name from ration card book.

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the challenge of obtaining a death certificate for a grandmother when her name differs between official records (like the Circle Register) and her ration card. The advice suggests obtaining the death certificate using her original registered name and then providing a notarised affidavit to the authorities explaining the alias used on the ration card. The key is to apply with the correct documentation, and the officials should be able to process the deletion from the ration card.

You take the death certificate "giving name as xxxxxxxx(her original name) aliasxxxxxxx (as noted in ration card).  and you or your parent give a notarized Affidavit that her name is xxxxxxxx alias xxxxxx.

All these may be your apprehensions.  Officials may not add any name to Ration card, but too happy to delete the names.  Your duty is to apply only, if they do not remove the name, it is their botheration.

You can produce any other document that is having the name which appears in the ration card instead of insisting on the same as circle name.

You can ge the death certificate based on the registration already done with the cremation ground authorities.
