Daughter rights

Dear Learned Lawyers,

According to Property law or succession act, Daughter have right in fathers property even after marriage. Now my question is:

is she(daughter/girl) also liable for the debt of the father? if not then why one sided rule is made?

Yes. Daughter is equally liable to discharge the loan obtained by her father, provided if she inherits any property from her father. If she has not inherited any property from her deceased father, then she is not liable. Further if any sibling is there, then each is liable to the proportion of inheritance.

I think you have asked the question on the basis of "principle of pious obligation". That are gone.

As per the HSA, the daughter is subject to the same liabilities in respect of the said inherited property as that of a son.
