Date of stamp paper as date of agreement

Dear ALL

when date of agreement is - not spelt out / written down / mentioned - in an agreement - can the date of the purchase of the stamp paper be reckoned as the date of agreement

I don't think so. It can be indicative, but not conclusive.

 

I believe when called for ascertainment, the date of execution of such an Agreement shall have to be determined on the basis of the discussions/actions/other factors related to the underlying transaction.
