Crpc-161 statements as defense exhibits

Dear All,

Please send your replies for below points:

1. Is it the practice that CrPC-161 Statements of LWs in 498A case are marked as Exhibits in support of Accused/Defense considering the Contradictions made by the PWs in cross-examination.

2. While cross-examining IO shall the defence side ask the IO about all the improvements/contradictions/ommissions point by point made by the PWs during the cross-examination.... or .... simply in one go we can ask question to the IO that other than statements in CrPC-161 no futher statements made by the LWs during investigation.... which is generally adopted ?

Thanks in advance.
