Criminal case

Me being Secretary of society in past, a lady in our society has harrassed us with all the false allegations with Society Registrar and also nearest police station. After all her tactics went wrong and losing case agianst the society in all courts, she has filed criminal case against seven members of society for further harassment and making life miserable for all wherein we have to appoint a lawyer, get bail and further defend the case.

Request someone to kindly advice on how to deal with this lady, as she is trying to harass us with no fault of ours.

This is the apathy of our system that every complainant, no matter how false, once files a FIR, the accused will have to take the harrassment. It is same as the cases of SC/ST accusations where anyone from this community can only say that you have used unparliamentary language against him/her and without any proof you'll be arrested. And no action is taken when this person is not able to prove such allegations and even the judges finally get to know that such accusations were only to harrass the accused and SC/ST person only misused the provision which is ment for his/her protection.

Maximum you could do is try to tell the court that this lady has been involved in filing similar cases on earlier occasion. On such request and finding the truth in your contention the judge would order to frame charges against this lady under various provisions.
