Dear experts, i want to obtain court order to change place of birth in passport,can u please tell me the procedure,as i have talked to few lawyer and they have not done this type of cases.
My passport was issued about 10 years ago,bymistake place of birth got written incorrect,now i have obtain the birth certificate but passport office people says that u have to get court order to correct this.
i will be very greatfull to you,if u could tell me the whole court process

you have to prepare an affidavit stating the said facts and get it notarise and tender alongwith you birth certificate or school leaving certificate.
pls mention that it was an inadvertently mistake , give some genuine reasons for the mistake

Send a representation to the Regional Passport Officer along with the relevant documents showing proof of place of Birth and thereafter file a writ of Mandamus directing RPO for necessary reliefs
