Yes, The girl needs to be present in the jurisdiction of the registrar where the marriage is to be solemnised, 30 days prior to making the application.

Dear Vishal,

in that case what is the documentry proof that she was living i n that area?

A affidavit would solve the purpose showing the address where she was living all this while?

But the guy is living in the jurisdiction of that registrar only..

Dont u think that one of the spouse should be living in preceding 30 days ...

Please advice asap

In case of Special Marriage Act, documentary evidence regarding stay in Delhi of the parties for more than 30 days (ration card or report from the concerned SHO).

All documents should be attested by a Gazetted Officer.

Condition for marriage:

Where the marriage is solemnised outside the territories to which the special marriage act applies, both parties should be citizens of and domiciled within the territories to which the act applies.

If you are going to love marriage then it can be done withi a day without any hassel.

If parents are agreed then the above guidence is required and parents of both the side is require to participate or not to make any objection.
