Counting of past service

I have taken technical resignation from Central Railway, Mumbai and joined BSNL on getting relieved from Central Railway after serving 4 years 8 months (Relieving letter enclosed). Rly has declined to give gratuity since the service is not full 5 years. All other settlement dues are paid by Rly.

I have requested BSNL to take my service on record for the purpose of gratuity since gratuity calaim is not accepted by Rly. BSNL also not agreeing to take service on record for the purpose of gratuity.

What is the rule position

pl advice me in the matter

Dear sir

here with attaching extract of gratuity act which may be usefull for u.

There are case laws specifying the same.

Please go through and see whether you satisfy the conditions.

Dear Sir I have joined as Jr Asst in 1980 in the organisatiom. Again I have been appointed Asst Field Ofice during 1982. During 1986 I have been appointed as Field Officer. I have retires on 30/6/2011. How much eligible service for granting Gratuity. Please reply .
