counter affidavit against chief affidavit

My wife filed chief affidavit with evidences in divorce case filed by her and I am party in person. Is there any need to file counter affidavit by me with evidences or wait for cross examination. Thanks for your help , my respect some people who are really helping people here with correct guidance.

First cross examine her on the basis of her affidavit. After her evidence close you can file your affidavit at the time of your evidence.
