what will happen to a contempt petition of a status quo order passed in writ petition, which itself dismissed later on. Contempt petition is pending since the alleged violation of the interim order. what will be the effect of such dismissal of writ petition on the contempt petition. whether after dismissal the contemnors will automaticaly absolved from the charges of contempt.
Please provide a case law of APEX court only.

when writ is dismissed every other order and contempt application also goes.
