Contempt of court

Respected sir,

Delhi High court order IGNOU to provide my back wadges with interest 7.5% within 4 weeks but IGNOU did not provide the same in within 4 weeks.

Sir How Can I proceed with the above problem.

Quick Summary
The Delhi High Court ordered IGNOU to pay back wages with interest within four weeks, but IGNOU failed to comply. If a court order is not followed, you can proceed by filing an execution petition or a contempt of court petition through your lawyer. Contempt of court is a serious offence for defying or disrespecting a court order and can lead to penalties or imprisonment.

You may file execution petition and/or contempt of court through your lawyer, if the order passed by Delhi High Court has not been assailed.

file contempt petition against IGNOU in DHC for not obeying DHC order.

file execution petition in the same court.Contempt of court is the offence of being defiant or disrespectful to the court of law. Being impolite to legal authorities in the courtroom, or rebelliously failing to follow a court order may draw Contempt of Court proceedings. A judge can levy sanctions such as a penalty or prison for someone found guilty of contempt of court.
