Consumer court

Is 65B certificate of evidence act mandatory to file in consumer court.?? As Indian evidence act not apply on consumer court as per supreme court .

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a Section 65B Certificate of the Indian Evidence Act is compulsory when filing a case in consumer court. While the Indian Evidence Act doesn't strictly apply due to summary procedures, you can present your evidence directly. A 65B certificate may only be required if the court deems it necessary to further prove your case.

Siince consumer cases are conducted by summery procedure so cpc,cr.pc and evidence acts are not applied strictly .Certificate of Sec 65 B of Evidence Act is not required in consumer cases.

You may produce the evidences in your possession to establish your complaint and grievances against the opposite party.

If the court is not satisfied then you may invoke the Indian evidence act to prove your case by filing a ceritficate under the referred section along with the evidence
