Common Wealth Games-None worried of winning

Media and Govt. is worried only that how these games would be managed.

Why they are not worried that our Great vast Country ( hugely populated also) should win many many medals in these games ?

Perhaps they know that leaving apart a few games we would be nowhere in the competition ?

What a plight !!!

Plz.contribute.

Tushar, This is just the beginning "we the people of India" are accustomed/acclaimatised/conditioned/always used to react after having inputs from print and telemedia. Before the Games there will be a premeditated attempt of diverting attention of us by planting terrorist News - the idea is not good or bad but somehow carry the burden in shadow of (self professed odds) terrorism, media blitz etc. After games as usual there will be an exercise of mudslinging reports of builder/mafia nexus - God forbid no prudent person can even think that during all this for any reason "THE INVESTIGATING MECHANISM INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITING TO CBI, IB & ORS. CAN BE PROACTIVE". Time will pass so this episode can also die its natural death. Forget about Nationalism, National Pride as nobody has any plausible answer about our sporting arena competency and preparedness. Best Regards Daksh

Tushar, A medal against Pakistan (read Hyped) is more than enough to put lid on people who know and care about sports in the country. We read and write so much thought provoking articles and other things but being part of the legal fraternity are we conscious about the fact of knowingly suppression of showing applicability of directive principles of (so called welfare state) despite we proclaim ourselves as having economic might. Tushar, A win or not. We know how to react to both the situations. If somebody wins (we are envious of his luck, his links in the sporting bodies, investment by his family, his financial might after getting signed for Advertisement, becoming a machine like commodity etc.) Otherwise we will shower our well researched, well rehearsed curses, the chalta hai attitude. It's not what we expect rightly or wrongly but what we can do - or rather ought to (have - or have not) done. Last but not least kudos for raking in such a wonderful thread personally close to my heart as I happen to play for my school, college teams. Best Regards Daksh

govt. officials and other concerned authority would have been calculating the amount, they can make with this game. Remember Hyderabad National Games, where official recived kickbacks from the sport material suppliers and in turn they the suppliers supplied inferior quality material.

As an Individual whatever w may be but as a Nation we r failure. It is sports man gets medal, on the other hand officials take this credit into their kitty.

Let us see, what happens, South Africa conducted the FIFA cup with huge success, so pressure will be on us.

Here in India as rightly observed by Daksh, that self Interest ia prevailing over National Interest.

Exactly, either u support scoundrels, or u will be branded as anti-nationals. Let the game be over, then media will start unearthing scams, who has made how much.

Simply pathetic.
