Commencement of Consumer Protection of Act 2029

1.According to the Official Gazette most of the provisions of consumer Protection Act 2019 will come into force from july 2020, whether this application will be in the nature of retrospective ? or it will apply to the
dispute arising after July 24 2020 ?

2.Can Consumer Redressal Commissions decide the mattters which includes complex

Hello,

You can file consumer complaint as per Consumer Protection Act 2019. You have state full facts of the case so that we can answer whether Consumer Redressal Commission can decide the matter which includes complex (?).

It is related to administration of Hydroxychloroquine during the period of Covid-19 pandemic . It's not actual case I have got a moot problem where a person has died due to the Covid-19 and his son after 2.6 years came to know thay Hydroxychloroquine is not the medicine for Covid-19 so he has sued the Govt. Hospital . Govt. Hospital contention is that the issue involved here is complex thus it can not be decided by the state consumer dispute redressal commission.
