Civil suit filed with photocopies of fake documents

My opponent filed a civil suit against my father aged 62 years at taluk court where my property is situated. He has filed the case by submitting only photocopies of the fabricated unregistered GPA document. In order to stop us from selling the property and to demand money from us, he is not submitting the documents and prolonging the case. It is almost more than two years and he is expecting us to come and negotiate with him and pay him some lumpsum inorder to withdraw the case filed by him. He has a track record of cheating people and also a bank and i have taken various judgements against him from the net.

Please advice how to find a solution to this case as we have asked him to submit the original GPA.

An unregistered GPA is not a valid document to begin with and so the case could not have been admitted even. further, if it is your property how does your father enter the picture ?.....Maybe you need to check / provide more details.
