citations for quashing criminal cases

Sir/Madam,

Can any one give few latest ctation with rgard to 482 Cr.P.C fo quashing  an alleged offence punishable under sec 420 IPC, wherein  there is a delay of filing complaint of one and half year even though the accued is a government official and reside in the same city, more over the dispute is civil in nature.( preferably supreme court citation required)

The complaint / FIR cant be quashed merely because of delay unless it is barred by limitation. But as Mr. Aejaz's file [link] says the proceeding can be quashed in view of guidelines given therein.
