Christian Adoption

How can Christian can adopt a child?and what are the procedures..can you explain Experts?

Quick Summary
In India, Christians can adopt a child through an orphanage under the Guardian and Wards Act, 1890. However, this process primarily facilitates foster care. Upon reaching 21, the child can choose to sever ties, meaning they don't gain automatic inheritance rights. For more detailed information, consult the provided legal resources.

As per your query, let me inform you that In Christianity, there is No Acknowledgement of adoption. Adoption is a subject matter of personal law since it is a legal affiliation of a child. Similar to Muslims and Parsis, Christians also can adopt a child from an orphanage with the permission of the concerned court under the Guardian and Ward Act, 1980.

However, under the Act a Christian can only take a child for foster care, but once the child attains the age of 21 years, he/she is free to choose to live with the guardian or to break all the connections, due to which such a child does not have any legal right to inheritance of the property.

I've laid down few links for you, go through them in order to attain more input regarding the same:-
