We are filing CHG1 on MCA Portal. Lender Bank presses for CA certificate u/s.281,which is AO's domains.
Can lender avoid complication as CA issues a differently worded certificate. None can certify NIL OUTSTANDING TAX, as assessment takes time,followed by review/ appeal proceedings
Kindly guide.

Sec 281 is wrt to any proceedings, ongoing or completed. A normal assessment under progress does not fall under the category. Logging into assessee IT portal, should list any proceedings or notices issued which is pending closure. A CA certificate should help , if insisted by lender but I do wonder Chg1 filing does not mandate a certificate as such.
