Cheque stop payment

dear sir,

i have dispute with a pvt ltd comopany.at the time of agreement i had given three blank cheques to them in may.i had informed them when dispute arised that i had stopped payment not to use it .when they rteceive notice then put the cheque for clearing .its returned with stop payment remark.... is it criminal lliability  u/s 138 of n.i .act
