Cheque bounce case

I have filed a case of cheque bounce u/s 138 of NI Act o/b of complainant. THe complainant has given an affidavit and the court has given me a date for verification. I want to know first how the verification done by the honourable court and as advocate for complainant, what should I ask the complainant in examination-in-chief. Can the judge ask me immediately after verification to take examination-in-chief.

Please explain in detail as this is my first case.

Thanks.

The procedure is called Sworn statement - The judge may examine about the content of the affidavit and not beyond that. It is the first step before Admitting/Numbering a Cheque case.

Now, Some judges were numbering the Cheque case directly on the affidvait itself by dispnesing the "Sworn statment". it is up to the court.

Based on complaint and affidavit exhibits are marked on documents and complaint is admitted.
