Cheque bounce

I had been charged of 138. now the cheque presented to the bank was put on stop payment, priror it was presented. even though the cheque was dishonoured by bank of insufficient funds. what shoul i do?

If you are much confident that you have not committed any offence then contest the case, otherwise make a comrpomise.

'Stop payment' instruction does not exonerate the drawer. Contest the case on merits.
