Certified copy as party in person

Sir, I have a civil case and an advocate representing me. I had taken a certified copy (C.A.) of the plaint. I have a doubt that the advocate is tampering with the documents. So, I applied to take the certified copy as a party-in-person, with the advocate’s signature to identify me on the C.A. application and attached my Aadhaar card. However, the application was rejected because the Aadhaar card was not attached. I have approached the concerned record room, but they are not cooperating with me.

My question is: Can I apply for a certified copy (C.A.) as a party-in-person if I already have an advocate on record for the case?

Yes, if you are a party to the case, you can very well apply for certified copies as a party in person by folllowing the local procedures for this purpose.

A party to the suit or his counsel/authorized agent or both can apply and obtain certified copies of case file.

Yes.  You can apply for a certified copy in person.

Advocate is functioning on the authority granted by you.

If you have applied as party in-person the copying agency cannot reject / deny supply of certified copy (ies).

When there is an advocate, how could you be the party in person?
