We need to install cctv camera for surveillance. Camera will be installed in Company Premises but it will cover public area like Highway. Do I require any prior permission from any Govt. Body to install that CCTV? IS there any guideline for installing CCTV which covers PUBLIC AREA?

no need get permission for fixing cctv camera, you are in fixed for your safety so no need

I have business of CCTV installing and commissioning. Some guys were asking me if they can install CCTV in their street for the street safety at night.
Do i need to take permission from govt. or police for that?
It would be great if some one can clarify me this.

The same case happned with me..... As far as i know there is no any law. But in some district of Gujarat there is a LOCAL order by S.P. that you have to intiment to police authority. Specialy while u installing in public place. so u just have to intiment so investigation agency will get clue if in case of any incedent. And u must have to apply sign borad that this area is under CCTV servilance. that is an order of Court.
