The Government has said that efforts are being made to dispose of the pending cases in theMonopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Commission by taking these up before the benches of the Commission. Being a quasi judicial body, the MRTP Commission adjudicates the cases in process before it and after completion of the relevant proceedings, makes orders as it deems fit under the provisions of the Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1969.
