Case progress

Dear Legal experts,  My daughter registered the CASE ( Os) for Partician suit.. Since last 5 years Nothing taken up by court, ( all the way it is mentioned as Issues ), my lawer says, court will take own time to start hearing, It is pending in District Civil court, and now this month taken for listing, so what will be the process, how long it will take further.. pl. help me understand the process... guide.. pl
