In the case of Sankar vs. Inspector, a case was registered in Crime No. 290 of 2003 on the file of the respondent for offenses under section 302 of IPC. Upon completion of the investigation, a charge sheet was filed informing the commission of offenses under section 302, 316, and 201 IPC before learned Metropolitan Magistrate II.

Bail was granted to the accused on grounds that he will appear before the Magistrate when called.
