Case against bsnl telephones

Hello Legal professionals,


I bought a BSNL broadband + telephone when there was an offer announced by BSNL. The offer was no Installation or any extra charges for broadband.

So i booked a connection, when they came for giving line they asked for Ravi kumar - we sent the person back asking him to correct the name in records and then come give an connection.


He said the name got corrected and finished the connection few days later. First month bill has come now under wrong name(My name is Ravishankar and they have put Ravi kumar) with Installation fees of Rs 250


Already wen to local bsnl office, and then madhavaram exchange - they say ask the person who gave connection.

When called the guy who gave the connection he is lying and finally says what ever you want - go talk to AO in Veppery BSNL office.

Am being played as a ball from here to there - i want to file a case in consumer court for their behavior.

Refer to the copy of form vide which you have booked the connection, and ID proof, address proof submitted by you, and acknowledgment issued by BSNL.

In case you have not retained the copy of the form, you may obtain from BSNL.

You approach PRO and narrate the incidents in writing with details of all representations and statement s of all employees including the one who installed the connection. You may mention that some one's connection has been installed at your address despite the fact that you have been pointing out the anomalies, lapses, deficiencies, and you have been subjected to rude, coercing, threatening approach, and mental harassment and the staff of the company gives a damn about public money and has been coercing you to approach consumer forum and courts of law for relief.

You may submit a copy to SDO also and demand reply by redg. post so as to reach you say within next 7 days.

You can approach DCDRF.

If you have recorded the Transaction(s) (audio/visual) you may succeed in inflicting harsh penalty on offenders.

Kindly approach a competent and experienced lawyer.

What i have is the printout from BSNL web site elaborating the offer - A voice recording from an bsnl employee when asked about the extra fees levied on me

I cannot afford a lawyer now - is there a way i can represent this case myself ?

You may meet the PRO with written complaint and obtain acknowledgment. You may also meet SDO with written complaint and obtain acknowledgment, and demand written reply by redg. post and action against the rude employee. They do act.
