Cancellation of decree

Hello What is the procedure of cancellation of decree awarded for ownership rights in plot by court of senior sub judge district court. Also does the decree becomes void Suo Moto if there is mutual settlement between parties and court order says the suit is withdrawn because of mutual settlement. Thanks

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the process for cancelling a court-awarded decree concerning property ownership rights. It questions whether a decree automatically becomes void if the parties reach a mutual settlement and the court withdraws the suit based on this agreement. While a formal cancellation procedure exists, it's lengthy. An alternative suggested is a new settlement document referencing the original decree, but this is problematic if the other party is unavailable or an MOU is already signed.
