Can physician do business?

Respected sir
I am Physician and having own hospital.
Can I do hotel business and vehicle distribution business?
Is it illegal as per medical code of conduct?

Quick Summary
A physician with their own hospital is seeking clarification on whether they can legally engage in other business ventures, such as the hotel industry or vehicle distribution. They believe that the medical code of conduct, including oaths, applies specifically to healing practices and not to unrelated commercial activities. The discussion aims to determine if such diversification is permissible or if it conflicts with professional medical regulations.

I am of the view that medical code like the Oath of Hypocrite   applies to medical works of healing etc, and other business like farming, hoteiler, and cars etc, are outside medical code. Correct me if I am  wrong.

Seek such information from IMA through an online RTI Application with a fee of Rs.10/-

Information solicited:

1. Please provide me the copy of laid down rules and regulations that prohibits a qualified physician from stepping into the business of hotels, automobiles, etc.,

You can practice as physician or hotelier but not both.
