Can my name get added on a sat bara?

My maternal grandfather was a farmer. My maternal uncle inherited the land from him. He has added my aunt's name and my cousin's name to the sat bara. I want to buy agricultural land by showing my lineage. Can I buy agricultural land? Can my aunt and cousin add me to the satbara? Will they face any legal issues in adding my name? Can the tehsildar give me some certificate which allows me to buy agricultural land?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the possibility of adding a name to a 'Sat Bara' (land revenue record) to facilitate the purchase of agricultural land based on lineage. While the original poster's uncle added other family members, the poster wishes to use their maternal grandfather's farming background to buy land, not claim inheritance. The advice suggests that while revenue records aren't absolute proof of title, seeking guidance from government authorities and a lawyer is the best course of action.

The facts posted suggest that your mother is a legal heir to the grandparents' property. Mere entry in the revenue records is not absolute as to title.

Sir, I do not wish to claim this land. I want to get an agriculture certificate so that I can purchase agricultural land. I would like to use my lineage to achieve this purpose.

better to seek advise from the Govt authority and act accordingly with the support of lawyer
