Can mother sell grandfather's lands without daughters consent?

My mother inherited undivided lands from her father ( our grandfather) who died without a will. Now she sold her share without our consent. Some say any property inherited by a mother cannot be considered ancestral property and we can not claim it. Can we (daughters) able to challenge the property transfer in court?

Quick Summary
A daughter is asking if her mother can sell land inherited from her grandfather without the daughters' consent. The property was inherited intestate, meaning without a will. Legal advice suggests that the mother, as the current owner, has the right to sell her share of the property during her lifetime. Daughters are considered legal heirs to their mother's property only after her passing.

Hello,

Your consent is not required for seeling property in your case. Your mother has all the rights to sell the property.

You are only a legl heir to the mother's property left intestate after her lifetime. During her lifetime, your mother can deispose of the property at her discretion.
