Can managing committee members wife attend committee meeting

One of our managing committee members asked his wife to attend society committee meeting।.we object against this. Is it as per society bylaw that any other members of society who is not part of managing committee  take part in meeting?? If yes under which bylaw he or she can be prohibited?

Quick Summary
A managing committee member's spouse attended a society meeting, prompting a query about whether non-committee members can participate. Generally, only elected committee members are permitted to attend official meetings. While a proxy letter holder might attend, they typically do not have voting rights. This discussion aims to clarify society bylaws regarding the attendance of individuals not formally part of the managing committee.

Since she is not a member of the committee, she cannot attend the meeting.

if bye laws permitted, proxy letter holder can attend. But no voting rights in the meeting.
