Can land acquired by nhai be transferred to kiadb?caselaw?

can a land which is acquired by NHAI for its own purpose under NHAI Act transfer to Karnataka Industrial Authority Development Board for industrial purpose? please if possible mention the caselaws to support your answer.

thank you

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether land acquired by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for its own purposes can be transferred to the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) for industrial development. The general consensus suggests this is unlikely, as land acquired for a specific purpose under the NHAI Act typically cannot be used for other objectives. While direct case law isn't provided, the advice points towards filing an RTI application and consulting a local advocate for further guidance, potentially involving a Writ Petition to the High Court.

First, file an online RTI Application with an RTI fee of Rs.10/- seeking information and then contact a local advocate for further remedy.

Information solicited:

1. Please provide the law/basis/precedent on which land acquired in Survey No.............of.....................village, ...............District for NHAI can be transferred to KIAUDB for industrial purposes by NHAI.

Any suggestion depends upon the law as well the period of acquisition. Anyhow, a High Court could be approached throuh a Writ Petition.
