Can i change the lawyer after sending a legal notice from mother lawyer

Hi,

I have appointed an advocate for sending a legal notice for a marriage dispute case, lawyer had initially said one amount do sending a legal notice, I have paid that amount all the time has been consumed and he had drafted the notice now he is demanding more amount for sending that notice.

Now I don't have chance as a lot of time has been consumed and ready to pay and asked what could be the approximate fees if the case has been taken to court and the third party don't come for mutual consent , he is not saying anything and saying let's see  now, I am scared don't know how much he gonna ask.

Now if I send legal notice with this lawyer and for for court proceedings can I change the lawyer if so what is the procedure and do I have to pay any fees to my old lawyer

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses whether it's possible to change your lawyer after they have sent a legal notice, particularly in marriage dispute cases. The user paid an initial fee for a legal notice, but the lawyer is now demanding more money before sending it. The user is also concerned about potential court fees if the case proceeds and the lawyer is not being transparent. The advice given is that you can change your lawyer at any time, even during a case, and no NOC is typically required if the initial engagement was only for sending the notice.

In case there is delay, then approach another advocate send the legal notice thats it or else pay the amount as demanded and send the notice throguh him thats it.

You have engaged the services of a lawyer only for the purpose of sending this legal notice and not for trhe case that is proposed to be filed.

Hence there is no necessity to obtain any NOC from this lawyer if you want to engage the services of a different lawyer to conduct the proposed case.

You can always choose a lawyer of your choice on all such further issues.
