can father purchase agriculture land if son income is more than 25LPA in karnataka

hi,

my income is more than 25LPA
my father income is less than 25LPA

can my father purchase agriculture land in karnataka or will it violates 79A B

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the rules around purchasing agricultural land in Karnataka when a son's income exceeds 25 LPA. Generally, if the family operates on joint funds, neither the son nor the father can purchase agricultural land if the son's income is above the threshold. This is to comply with Section 79A and 79B regulations designed to prevent non-agriculturists from acquiring farmland.

If it is a joint family i.e. you are living with joint funds(your father's income and your income) then either you or your father cannot purchase agricultural land in Karnataka.
