Can a new board proceed against a old president?

A housing co-op society has filed against an old president and others in a civil case. The details are as follows. The old committee/ board of directors had allotted a site to the minor daughter of the President, mentioning as major. Finally, it is the Bangalore Development Authority which allots the sites to members of the society. After some years, the daughter sold the site and the buyer resold again after many years and like that  5 or 6 sales took place.

Now after nearly 12  years, the society (of new directors) has filed a civil case against all the buyers of the same site and has prayed the court to quash the registration of the site to the then minor . Now all the 5 buyers have received the notice from court. Some buyers have taken bank loans and taken legal opinions and taken loans. How will the court decide in this matter?
