Can a legal heir certificate be altered?

My Son died on his second day of his marriage. on His legal heir we included his wife name. Now his wife is married and has a kid. she has no way related to my family and she has not even helped us even in bad times. Till today we have given share of all his assets as per legal heir ...Now that she is married and belong to another family , can we remove her name from his legal heir? if yes , how should we proceed? should we need to file a law suit???

You can file a suit for alteration in the concerned local civil court.

You may approach the Tehsildar with all documentary evidence and get a new legal heirship certificate excluding  the name of your late son's married wife.
